The following course consists of three modules:

1.1 Operations Management

1.2 Project Management

Certificate in Project Management

Effective project management can boost business performance, increase profitability, and provide many other lucrative benefits for a company. This course will equip you with the knowledge to plan, implement, evaluate, and modify projects designed to meet specific company goals and objectives. Learn how to outline, prepare and analyse project budgets, allocate resources, and develop effective scheduling plans. You will develop an in-depth understanding of the project management tools and functions, and learn how to carry out a project to its completion, including how to create closing reports and perform post-completion assessments.

Syllabus:

The Project Management Certificate is designed for students studying for a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management. It assumes knowledge from all level 4 and 5 modules and is delivered as a specialist module, covering the following issues:

• The fundamental elements of projects
• Task and functions of managing and organising a project
• The process and planning of a project
• Linking project plan to project budget and cost
• Project management tools and scheduling of project work
• Resource allocation in project management
• Reporting on project progress and project completion and evaluation

Advanced Diploma in Business Administration

The Advanced Diploma in Business Administration consists of three modules. Within the Advanced Operations Management module, you will study inventory control, resource allocation, and how goods and services are produced. Next, you will go on to the Advanced Managerial Accounting and Analysis module, which will cover techniques for predicting sales and identifying risks and give you the essential tools for managerial decision-making. Finally, you will complete your diploma with the Marketing Design and Strategy module that will teach you how to design and execute a business plan. This module covers fundamental marketing concepts such as the marketing mix, brand positioning, and creating a value proposition. This diploma also meets the entry course requirements for enrolling in one of LSBF’s academic programmes.

• Advanced Operations Management – Inventory control, resource management, and using raw materials and human labour to produce goods and services
