LSBF Singapore wins big at ‘School Green Awards’

Singapore, 15 November 2019 – London School of Business and Finance in Singapore (LSBF) was recognised at the Singapore Environment Council StarHub ’School Green Awards’ (SGA) 2019.

During the awarding ceremony on Tuesday 12 November, LSBF Singapore took home the ’Yellow Flame Award’, which is given to schools with an overall score of more than 80%.

The annual SGA is organised by the Singapore Environment Council and sponsored by Singapore telco giant, StarHub. Mr Ong Ye Kung, The Minister for Education, was guest of honour at the ceremony to present the awards.

This is the second consecutive year that LSBF has received this accolade. The evaluation for the ’Yellow Flame Award’ was based on the school’s initiatives towards energy management, waste management, water conservation, infrastructure, and initiatives promoting environmental protection and recycling efforts.

This award also recognises the school’s environmental projects and initiatives towards building ’A Zero Waste Nation: 3Rs – Reduce, Reuse, Recycle,’ ’A Leading Green Economy: Green Consumerism,’ and ’An Active and Gracious Community: Biodiversity, Litter-Free Environment.’

This achievement was made possible by the commendable efforts of passionate students and staff. The LSBF Go Green Club, formed by students, was active throughout 2019 in organising various environmental initiatives, promoting awareness and thereby inculcating strong values among students.
