Former UK Home Secretary and Education Secretary, the Rt Hon David Blunkett MP has been appointed as a visiting lecturer at London School of Business and Finance (LSBF).
The new role means that Mr Blunkett will contribute to the management and leadership programme for LSBF - one of the UK's largest independent providers of higher education.
To mark the new appointment, LSBF will host the first of Mr Blunkett's lectures on ‘leadership in the challenge of rapid global change’ for LSBF postgraduate students at its Marble Arch campus on July 19th.
This lecture also kick starts a new rolling programme of guest lectures to give the public, as well as LSBF students, the opportunity to hear high profile and influential speakers from across industry, fashion, education and politics.
A detailed events schedule of confirmed speakers will be published shortly.
LSBF Vice Rector James Kirkbride said: “We are delighted to welcome Mr Blunkett to LSBF. A mainstay in British politics for more than two decades, the visit underlines his strong interest in education, and reaffirms LSBF’s position as one of the UK’s leading innovative higher education institutions. The first of a number of high profile visiting professors, we very much look forward to Mr Blunkett’s lecture and thank him for his contribution.”
David Blunkett said: “I am very pleased to contribute to this outreach programme which will engage both a domestic audience and the many high quality international students enrolled with the school of business and finance.”
