Tien Thi Thuy Tran from Vietnam has always wanted to pursue her ‘dream career’ in finance. But before entering her undergraduate degree programme, she felt she needed to be better prepared.
Tien’s decision to study the LSBF Foundation Programme in Business in order to pursue a career in the financial sector has reaped rich rewards and she is now well set on moving towards her goal of one day becoming a financial advisor.
Here are some excerpts from our chat with Tien…
LSBF Team: Why did you choose to study at LSBF?
Tien Thi Thuy Tran: I chose the Foundation Course in Business at LSBF not only because of the quality of the programme and experience of the lecturers, but also because it gave me the chance to gain a solid foundation of basic business knowledge, which is something that really interests me.
LSBF: What was the biggest benefit you gained from your time at LSBF?
Tien: Ever since I was little, it has been a dream of mine to study in London. London offers international students a one-of-a-kind chance to be exposed to the world of international business and I have learnt so much during my time as LSBF with such supportive lecturers and new friends from all over the world who share the same interest in Business.
LSBF: What’s your advice for new students?
Tien: If you are looking for an international academic environment then LSBF is the ideal choice.
Following completion of the foundation course, Tien is progressing to the BA International Business (BIB) course in order to expand her knowledge and skills in international business and take another step forward in achieving her long term career goal.
