StartUp Britain bus tour to inspire thousands of entrepreneurs

The 2016 StartUp Britain bus tour has now been launched.

The tour is part of a partnership between NatWest and StartUp Britain, and aims to inspire thousands of entrepreneurs across Britain.

Tour

The bus made an appearance at Buckingham Palace earlier this week to kick off its annual tour, which is now in its fifth year.

The tour will last for six weeks, during which time the bus will visit 30 towns and cities across the UK. Some of the locations that it will visit are Birmingham, Manchester, Truro, Leicester, Aberdeen, and Glasgow.

Entrepreneurs will be recruited in each town to provide advice, and there will also be local experts such as accountants, business advisors, and lawyers on board.

Leading companies such as UK accelerator Entrepreneurial Spark, the National Enterprise Network and The Prince’s Trust will also be joining the tour.

Experience

The StartUp Britain bus was welcomed at Buckingham Palace by the Duke of York, who wished everyone on board good luck and stated that “there is no barrier to being an entrepreneur.”

StartUp Britain Director Matt Smith said that the bus is now visiting “more locations than ever before”, which “clearly shows how far Britain’s entrepreneurial spirit spreads.”

He stated that as the bus passes through different cities, more experience and inspiration is passed on to the next location. He added that the tour is “a great way to come face-to-face with some of Britain’s most innovative individuals.”
