Northern social entrepreneurs to pitch for £250k investment

Social entrepreneurs across the North of England can pitch for a share of a £250,000 investment pot with a Dragon’s Den-style funding panel.

Dragon’s SEN is part of Northern Enterprise 2016 conference, and will give six social entrepreneurs the chance to pitch their business ideas and gain investment into their business.

Offer

The entrepreneurs will pitch their ideas live at the conference, and will receive an offer of investment if they are successful.

Amongst the Dragons SEN finalists are educational charity Ariel Trust, community engagement organisation We Make Places, charities Rare Trust, Trinity House, and CEDE Foundation, and UK video platform DigiBete.

Dragon’s SEN is made up of a panel of leading investors, including Tony Cahill of First Ark Group, Eric Munroe of RBS Social Capital, and Simon Torrington of Charity Bank.

Unique

Tony Cahill said: “Dragons SEN is a unique platform for social entrepreneurs to gain investment, propelling them onto a level playing field with other sectors and becoming wealth generators within the social economy.”
