A list compiled by the Centre for Entrepreneurs has revealed the top entrepreneurs in the UK.
The Maserati 100 is compiled annually and is a list of successful entrepreneurs in Britain who have provided support for upcoming business talent.
Fusion Go Director David Jones was amongst the many entrepreneurs who made the list.
Support
Maserati praised the work that Jones has done for start-up businesses, stating that he has worked in regeneration and economic development for nearly 20 years and has provided support to help many businesses grow economically and socially.
“Championing entrepreneurship across Cumbria, he launched Fusion Go, a not-for-profit company that aims to help entrepreneurs, start-ups and young businesses establish and grow by linking them into a powerful network of mentors, coaches and successful entrepreneurs,” said a statement on the Maserati website.
Great recognition
Commenting on being selected for the list, Jones said that it was a “great recognition” for the work that he has done with Fusion Go. He added that the award has “been a total surprise but a welcome one.”
“As well as supporting other entrepreneurs, it makes me remember that I am also an entrepreneur, forging a path to make a social impact on Cumbria,” he said.
Amongst the other entrepreneurs who have made the list are Baroness Martha Lane Fox, co-founder of Lastminute.com; Paul Lindley, founder of Ella’s Kitchen; John Caudwell, co-founder of Phones 4u; and Alison Lowe, who runs fashion PR company Felicities.
