British entrepreneurs are wanted in Australia, according to research carried out by Crown Relocations National Manager John Morris.
The survey revealed that nine out of ten Australians would like more British entrepreneurs to emigrate to the country, whilst one in five believe there are not enough entrepreneurs in the country. Over 80 per cent of those surveyed said that they would welcome more British expats into Australia.
Skilled
The research also showed that two-thirds of Australians believe that British entrepreneurs are highly skilled, whilst a third said that entrepreneurs who have emigrated from Britain have had a positive effect on the country.
Over 50 per cent of respondents also believe that those who have moved to the country over the past 50 years have helped to boost its economy.
Entrepreneurs were also found to be one of the most sought-after professions, along with doctors, nurses, scientists and teachers.
The survey also looked at the traits that Australians believe are important when it comes to people moving to the country and found that over 60 per cent feel that being hard working is the most important characteristic.
Encouraging
Commenting on the research, Morris said that it is “encouraging” for entrepreneurs who are thinking of setting up a business in Australia and that it shows that British entrepreneurship is recognised and welcomed in the country.
“Everyone knows that Australia is a beautiful country and a wonderful holiday destination. But it can also provide exciting opportunities for entrepreneurs looking to live and work abroad,” he said.
